Firefox 2.0.0.10 Released

Mozilla has released version 2.0.0.10 of it’s popular web browser for multiple platforms, including MacOS X. A number of security updates were addressed, including “Referer-spoofing via window.location race condition”, “Memory corruption vulnerabilities (rv:1.8.1.10)”, and “URI scheme XSS hazard.”

Refurb iPod Shuffles & Nanos

Today, the Apple Store online has begun to offer refurbished iPod Shuffles and Nanos for discounted prices.

Second generation shuffles in blue, green and orange are offered at $79 each. 4GB Nanos are available for $149 each, and the RED Special Edition 8GB model is priced at $199.

Apple Acknowledges MacBook Hard Drive Flaw

According to AppleInsider, today Apple has acknowledged a flaw exists with hard drives supplied by Seagate that were placed inside new MacBooks. The flaw can result in permanent data loss, even when using the MacBook under “normal” conditions. According to AppleInsider, problem is “confined to Seagate 2.5-inch SATA drives that are manufactured in China and loaded with firmware Version 7.01.”
